The GMP is an independent group founded by friends, allies & alumni of Georgetown University, aligned with the Georgetown slaves and their living descendants.
The GMP is guided by the Jesuit philosophy of magis (doing more), and committed to the ideals of Truth, Reconciliation & Reunion
Our mission has four parts:
Identify the people sold in 1838.
Locate their living descendants.
Acknowledge them as members of the Georgetown family.
GMP membership is open to anyone who wishes to show support for our mission and goals.
GMP members set their own level of participation and involvement. Financial contributions and gifts are voluntary. Membership lists are confidential, and will not be shared with any third party. Just email us at: joinGMP@gmail.com.

The GMP is sustained by the voluntary contributions of its individual members. We receive no financial support of any kind from Georgetown University or the Maryland Jesuits.
